An attempted accident occurred in Russia when a rescuer’s helmet strap was suddenly twisted into the AWAH Z3-FIRE pulley during ascent, putting him at risk of being strangled. Fortunately, a colleague nearby was able to cut the strap within a minute using a rope knife.
