Z3-FIRE Questions

What standard is the Z3-FIRE built to?
The Z3-FIRE is built to XF 494-2023, the People's Republic of China fire rescue industry standard. Under this standard, the device is approved for personnel support. Note: under EU regulations, this product does not carry PPE certification and cannot be used for personnel support in the EU. Always check local regulations before use. A backup safety system is recommended.
What makes it different from the Z3-PROF?
The Z3-FIRE adds: (1) higher 285 kg load rating vs 200 kg, (2) integrated swivel to prevent rope twisting during rescue operations with shifting loads, and (3) same 1 friction block and 3 guide wheel configuration as the PROF for precise descent control. It's built for emergency scenarios where a life may depend on the equipment.
Does the crash self-locking device need maintenance?
The gearbox crash self-locking device is factory-sealed and maintenance-free within its 6-year rated service life. Never add liquid lubricating oil — it will cause the self-locking device to fail. If the self-locking device has been activated (after a gearbox failure), the unit must be taken out of service immediately and returned to the factory for inspection or replacement.
